One of the most frequent things the PTA hears about is how busy everyone’s lives are. We agree! So, let’s make things simple! We are simply asking for a monetary donation that will directly enhance your child’s education and experience at Dranesville Elementary School. If we raise enough money, this will be our only fundraiser! Help us help Dranesville!
The first month of school is behind us and the Dranesville P.T.A. is in full swing! We have hosted a Welcome Back Teachers’ Breakfast, an Open House Teachers’ Luncheon, updated and sold many new pieces of Spirit Wear, helped provide the 6th grade class with new laptop computers, provided teachers with a $25 dollar gift card to offset personal expenses for classrooms and much more! Of course, all of this has been made possible with tremendous support from our parents, administration and staff from Dranesville!
As we head into October we are already planning ahead to have our best year possible! The Fall Fundraiser kicks off October 11th and will continue into November. This is our biggest fundraising event and relies solely on monetary donations from our parents. Please consider giving at a minimum $25 dollars per child so we can continue to fund all of our school field trip buses, teacher appreciation events, and so much more!
Our next meeting is on October 11th at 8pm in the school library. We are a PTA that wants to connect and encourage all parents and educators, and we are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting! The topic for the upcoming meeting is “Elementary School Ins and Outs”, and it’s the first one in the “Just So You Know” series of PTA meetings this year. Our guest panel will include four members: Mr. Gray, Ms. Harris, Ms. Devine, and Ms. Bradley, who will share their experiences and answer your questions.
